Week 30 (December 28) - Happy New Year

FAMMMBAMMM!!

It was sooooo good to hear all of your voices!!! A little weird but so good. It was so awesome to hear that you guys are all doing good.

So this weekend was really cool and I will tell you a little bit about it. We did a zone attack in Gorbea and then each missionary went with a member so we had tons and tons of people in Gorbea searching for less actives. We found a bunch of info for all of them.

We had a good day in church. My companion is a maquina. Machine. On the stand the first counselor was like uhhhh this person has a talk but they aren’t here so Hermana Moran? and she went and gave the best talk ever. Then I got to teach the lesson in principles of the gospel.

I was studying the Book of Mormon and the Restoration this week and I was reading in D&C 84:54-57 it was pretty strong for me because the whole church was condemned because they didn’t use the book of Mormon enough in their preaching. SOOOooo we were thinking about our investigators because a lot of them can’t read and we came up with some good ideas. But I am telling you guys this because we have one investigator who’s name is Irene (so ready for baptism but needs to get divorced and married) she can’t read at all. BUT she can read parts of the Book of Mormon and she is understanding!!!!!!! Its seriously a miracle. I have such a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon and it grows every single day as I read and apply the words in my life. I want you guys all to put goals for the New Year (obviously fam tradish ((but you can’t put them in the cabinet and never look at them again))) but add the book of Mormon in your goals this year. I know it will help all of you in every single part of your lives.

I LOVE YOU ALL AND HAPPPY NEW YEAR!!!

PS one of our investigators Isidro might be baptized this Saturday YEA

Week 29 (December 21)

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!

That´s what everyone says to me in the streets here. Haha it´s so cute.

I am SOOO stoked to see you guys over skype!! Google hangout sounds perfect. We are going to skype at a partial member’s house. They are the ones who feed us 3 times a week. Familia Fica. I think we are going to skype around 8 our time so that is like 5 or 4 your time? I want to see alllllll of the family and hopefully the new baby?!!! I AM SO EXCITED FOR HER!!

I am glad that you guys are doing missionary work and are pumped about it. That makes me so happy!!
This week was SO AWESEOME!!! We seriously had a week of miracles I don’t even know where to begin with everything. I think I can just explain over skype to you guys.

We found this family who are inactive but just wait.........she has 20 siblings. 20!!!!!!!!!!! Who all live in this one pueble called quitratue in our sector. We hit it off with her and her husband. Wait that sounds so weird. But she is so happy that we found her. Part of her family are members and part of her fam aren’t. We have major plans to baptize and reactivate with this family. We are so so excited.

The members are helping a ton and it is making a huge difference. Our Branch President went away to work for a few months so we just have our First Counselor. Haha it is so fun being in a Branch. Our goal is to make it a ward one day. Why not?

I can’t wait to see you all this Christmas!!

Love you all the whole world full and more.

Week 28 (December 14)

So many things happened this week. I am going to make a bullet list story.
1.     I was thinking of Blanca, our miracle in Angol on Monday and I looked at the list of people who got baptized and SHE GOT BAPTIZED!! It was really cool because the night before I left to Gorbea we had a lesson with her and she was crying and told us that she has this happiness with her that she has never felt before. We explained to her that this gospel brings this happiness. She cried some more and said this is my answer I want to be baptized. And three weeks later she was.

2.      Miguel made us lunch one day with a bunch of uncooked meat. We got SOOO sick.

3.     We woke up one morning and drove to Angol for our Christmas Conference with President and alllll of our mission. IT WAS SO AWESOME. I learned so much and we ate really good normal American food.

4.      We had some really cool lessons this week and found some really awesome new investigators.

5.      anndddd Miguel and Maciel were baptized!!!! Basically all of our Branch came to the baptism and it was so golden. We had lots of struggles with the water but finally got some to come out.

6.     We were praying all week to find a family to teach and on Sunday this man came named Jose Luis. We talked to him and he was like yeah come on over today. We went and bam. All of his family was sitting there waiting to listen to us. SOOO AWESOME. And he saw Miguel get confirmed and he told us that he wants that. Miracles everywhere.

7.......and last but the best......HERMANA MORAN IS STAYING IN GORBEA AND WE HAVE MORE WEEKS TOGETHER!!! We are soooooo so so happy!!

There were probably a lot more points that I missed in my week but this was the jist, gist, ? I dont remember how to spell. woops.
I am so excited for everything that is happening here and I am so happy to be a missionary. Every morning I wake up and I get so excited to be here.
Love you all the whole world full!!!

Week 27 (December 7)

Sorry I really don´t have tons of time today. But I want to give a huge shout out to the BEST mom in the world!! HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

Also good news. So Miguel is set beautifully to be baptized this Saturday on the 12th so happy birthday momma. He is so golden it´s insane. He prays every prayer at the end of our lessons and always prays that his baptism will go over well. It is so cute. We call him the abuelo escogido. The chosen grandpa. So we got to get some things ready for his baptism.

Also another little girl is getting baptized the same day named Maciel. She is so so cute and so smart.
Marina is SO awesome. She brought us to one of her friends because she wants her friend to have this happiness in her life too. Do investigators ever do that? Never! Go marina!

President wrote me this week and told me that he feels like I am going to find a family this month or next month to be baptized. haha no pressure right? I for sure am going to work hard and find that family.

We have cambios this next week and so I think Hermana Moran will leave. So sad.
I love you all and I want you all to know how happy I am and how sad I am at the same time because time is going by way to fast.

Love,

Hermana Kleinman

Actually quick story. Slap on the face story. We have two investigators who want to get baptized but they aren’t married. We brought them to the registro civil this week to put a date for their wedding and we went up there and all of the sudden (the woman) got all shaky and goes uhhhhhhhhhh I have a confession!!!!!!!! I was married one time and I am still married but I don’t think it should count. hahaha I was like ARE YOU KIDDING
But anyways we will get them divorced and married and baptized in no time

And yes I have heard of Hermana Degroff but haven’t seen her!

and dad they have cherry trees EVERYWHERE here and everyone just hands you cherries for free on the streets. this is one of our investigators who has tons of trees in her backyard. And all the Hermana's from the 3 adjacent zones. We had a conference of Hermanas!
